The novel, The Stranger, written by French author Albert Camus, is a philosophical fiction piece published in 1942. This book used both Existentialism and Absurdism to promote Meursault s problem throughout the book. Both of these are related to Modernism, which was the aftermath of the industrial revolution. â€Å"Modernism is a philosophical movement that along with cultural trends and changes arose wide-scale and far reaching transformations in western society during the late 19th and early 20th century†(Koofers 1). Modernism was branched into different styles of art but they all had something in common,â€Å" a rejection of history and applied ornament; a preference for abstraction; and a belief that design and technology could transform†¦show more content†¦At the funeral, he was indifferent to the situation, he didn’t really mourn for his mother. Another example, was when Meursault helped Raymond write a letter because he didn’t have anything else to do. Another one was when Meursault just stood there and watched Raymond beat up his girlfriend, without saying anything and refused to call the cops just because he didn’t he didn’t like them. A final example from the first part of the book was before Meursault hit the turning point, he refused a job offer in Paris because he thought life would still be the same even if he was in a different area. These brief examples show that Meursault is ignoring the social critique. All of his actions are related to Clairvoyance, a surrealist art by Renà © Magritte. In the painting, Renà © Magritte predicted the future of the egg onto a canvas and in The Stranger, Meursault s actions lead us to predict that things weren’t going to go great for him within the end of the first part. Unlike the Existentialist model, the Aristotle model suggests the opposite by portraying a character who fits the role of a â€Å"tragic hero† and faces a â€Å"tragic flaw.† A tragic hero is a character that eventually makes the wrong judgment at the climax of the book that leads the character to his/her own destruction. An Aristotelian model is different from an Existentialist model because the character goes through a fall in their social status. We were discussing about the performers who participated in the concert last year and this year. The result we wanted to search that the performance which the concert people have last year was better or the performance they gave this year. The view point given by my friend was that the concert of last was better because there was many performers who were performing since many years and due to that the content of their concert and their performance both were better than this time. But according to the team is new and they will take time to excel but new talents should get chance or else how they will show their talent to the world. My friend gave the point that people with more experience will work better and it will be clean and clear. But for me if we do not give chance to new talent then how will the new generation will grow after the old generations retires. In every fi eld new comers are occupying the place of the out goers and making them apt in those places. So like that in the entertainment field also newcomers are coming and we should welcome them with open hand. To make my friend understand I gave him an example that in his workplace if the seniors do not retires then how come the newcomers like him will get chance. The Debilitating Effects of TV on Children 1. According to the author if children are watching TV for around 1-2 hours then they must not be doing their homework, getting poor grades and having negative attitudes towards everyone. Children watching TV for more than 2 hours are in greater risks for many unseen problems and are creating problem for themselves as well as for their parents (Feng, Reed, Esperat Uchida, 2011). Many experts have told that children watching TV are restricting their knowledge growth from the outer world. So watching TV for children of age 2-3 years is a big No. By watching TV the children are restricting their knowledge up to a certain level and this will not at all benefit them. Children, who are open to all types of knowledge and not restricting them by only watching TV will easily win against those children who are only watching TV and not gaining their knowledge (Marsh, Ni Mhurchu, Jiang Maddison, 2014). 2. The assumptions the author is making that:a. By watching TV there will be no growth of kn owledge for the children.b. The content they are watching in the TV should be according of their age.c. If a person working with his friends and after launching a product that person gets detached from that company and open up a firm in the same sector and taking half of the credit for making that product and attracts the customers and clients from his ex office then it will make that person a back stabber and further when will be working with his clients then in some or the other way he may have to listen about bac k stabbing and few clients may not accept his proposal of working together because of this nature (Spence, 2011). d. The author got to know about the socio-emotional development of a child and also about the parents. Fathers are getting involved with their wards and increasing the social competence and decreasing the externalizing and internalizing behavior. Fathers involving them in care giving and also increasing the internalizing behavior of their children. The reciprocal involvement of the father and their children in playing and their care giving is helping in nurturing the behavior of the ward (Naqvi Daubeney, 2009). Findings we get in the case study- a. Fathers involving themselves with mother and teachers in shaping up the behavior of their children.b. Fathers involving themselves playing with their wards are decreasing the internalizing and externalizing behavior.c. Fathers involving them in nurturing the care giving behavior of their children.d. From the findings it can be seen that what benefits the children are getting. The children are not getting out of the hand of their parents by getting so much care from their parents.
